„Evaluation Engineering Readers Choose Data Translation’s Real-Time DSP Data Acquisition Solution
\r\n
\r\nJan. 12, 2004–Data Translation®, Inc. today announced that its award-winning DT9841 Fulcrum® II Series DSP data acquisition solution received Evaluation Engineering Magazine’s 2003 Readers Choice award. Readers of the magazine selected the DT9841 as the best product in the data acquisition category. „;“\“We are honored by this recognition,\“ said Fred Molinari, president, founder and CEO of Data Translation. \“The DT9841 clearly addresses a need in test and measurement applications, such as sonar, vibration, and equipment testing, where precise measurements, dynamic signal analysis, and real-time control are required. We’re delighted that customers recognize the value of this solution.\“
\r\n
\r\nThe DT9841 is the first in a family of real-time measurement solutions offering precise simultaneous acquisition and control, onboard processing, and USB 2.0 host communication. The DT9841 design reflects a partnership with Texas Instruments (TI), combining TI’s fast, floating-point digital signal processor (DSP) with Data Translation’s high-resolution analog circuitry. The DT9841 is also scalable, allowing customers to connect up to eight modules together to expand their channel count. To get up and running quickly, customers can use DT Measure Foundry(TM)/RT-Streaming to stream data from the DT9841 to the host without programming. If more flexibility is required, customers can use the supplied API libraries to write their own DSP programs using TI’s Code Composer Studio(TM) and host programs using Microsoft C++® or Visual Basic®.
\r\n
\r\nProducts qualifying for a 2003 Readers Choice award were determined based on the number of responses they received during the year through Evaluation Engineering’s leads program. A random group of readers then voted on each product. The product with the most votes was selected as the Readers Choice.
