\r\nMARLBORO, Mass.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–March 24, 2003–Data Translation®, Inc. (OTCBB: DATX.OB – News) today introduced the DT335-50 digital I/O board for the PCI bus. The DT335-50 is a new version of the popular DT335 board. Both include 32 digital I/O lines, grouped into four 8-bit ports. Each port can be programmed for either input or output, providing a low-cost alternative for non-clocked monitoring or control of high channel-count applications. Digital outputs are also capable of driving external solid-state relays. Another key feature of both boards is the ability to generate an interrupt on bit change in order to monitor critical signals or to signal the transfer of data to and from the board. Interrupts can be enabled on a bit-by-bit basis as well.“;“The DT335-50 uses a 50-pin connector on the external input/output interface of the board. The 50-pin interface connector is pin-for-pin compatible with the DT2817 digital input/output board designed for the ISA bus. This allows current DT2817 users to upgrade their PC quickly and easily without having to change their interface connections. The STP-EZ and DT758-C screw terminal panels can be used to simplify connections.\r\n

\r\nThe DT335-50 ships with the Data Acquisition Omni CD(TM), a free software bundle that gets users up and running quickly and allows them to create customized applications that best suit their needs. The Omni CD includes an evaluation of Data Translation’s DT Measure Foundry(TM) 3.0, the company’s flagship test and measurement application builder software that lets customers easily create complex measurement applications.
