ESI Announces New Office in Hsinchu, Taiwan

\r\nESI has had a presence in Taiwan since 1994, and established direct sales and service in Hsinchu in 2000. The geographical breakdown of ESI’s business continues to show a trend towards Asia. In the first half of fiscal 2003, 63% of total revenue came from Asia, excluding Japan. During fiscal 2002, net sales to Asia, excluding Japan, were 47% of ESI’s total revenue, which was $167 million.\r\n

\r\nESI also has Asian sales and service facilities in Tokyo and Nagoya, Japan; Seoul, Korea; and Singapore. Additionally, the company recently upgraded its China (Shanghai and Guangzhou) sales and service facilities into a Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprises (WFOE) on January 15, 2003, expanding its demonstration and service capabilities.\r\n
