\r\nSony’s Rugged, Ultra Compact Video Camera\r\n
\r\n\r\n
\r\nThe new XC-HR70 monochrome video camera joins Sony’s family of ultra-compact, rugged high-speed video cameras used in machine vision, assembly line and other industrial applications.\r\n
\r\n\r\n
\r\nSome key features of this new model include an integrated 1/3-inch (IT) Interline Transfer progressive scan CCD with Sony HAD* technology. It also incorporates a new \“high-scanning\“ function that increases the camera’s vertical scanning frequency so it can capture images at up to 120 frames-per-second (58 binned frames-per-second).\r\n

\r\nHigh-Resolution Industrial Microscopy\r\n
\r\n\r\n
\r\nThe new ICY-shot* 5.1 megapixel (4.9 effective pixels) cooled-CCD still digital camera is designed for industrial microscope users in semiconductor failure analysis, materials science and other industrial applications. The ultra-sensitive, low-noise camera provides researchers with the key features needed for capturing quality images under challenging low-light conditions.\r\n

\r\nSony Cameras Capture Out-of-This-World Footage\r\n
\r\n\r\n
\r\nFootage from the inaugural Delta IV rocket launch, which is currently scheduled for blast off from Cape Canaveral, Fla., on Nov. 16, will also be shown. The dramatic footage from a specially built camera attached to the exterior of the rocket will record images as the rocket climbs through the outer limits of the atmosphere and into space.\r\n

\r\nAccording to Rex Ridenoure, CEO of Pasadena, Calif.-based Ecliptic Enterprises makers of the RocketCam(TM) model, it incorporates a Sony XC-999 miniature color video camera module to generate live, full-color video from onboard the rocket. Ecliptic is currently engineering an enhanced RocketCam product line based on Sony’s recently introduced XC-555 miniature video camera, which includes a more sensitive CCD chip, improved iris functions, highly integrated internal electronics and expanded external interfacing features — all in a smaller and lighter package.\r\n

\r\nWeb-Based Video Monitoring\r\n

\r\nSony demonstrates remote-monitoring solutions in which a web-enabled network video camera can stream live footage over IP-based networks. The live web demonstration will feature a look at New York City streets, courtesy of the SNC-RZ30N IP addressable video camera mounted to a Madison Avenue building.\r\n
\r\n\r\n
\r\nThe SNC-RZ30N model offers high speed, quiet pan/tilt/zoom, which allows for flexibility in remote monitoring. It features a frame rate of up to 30 frames-per-second and 736 x 480 picture resolution. It utilizes the JPEG Compression format, offering high quality images even at high compression ratios. The camera comes with a built-in 25x optical zoom lens.\r\n
