Vitana issues new release of PixeLINK Capture Software

„All PixeLINK cameras are now supported by this single release of software and device drivers. The new release, labeled Release 3.0 (R3.0), adds significant functionality to the camera and expands its image-capture capabilities. Included in the release are features that allow the use of a foot-operated remote control for white balance, autoexposure, and image capture.\r\n

\r\nInstallation and operation are now supported on the Windows XP operating system. The release also supports Windows 98 (SE), Windows Me, Windows 2000, and Mac OS 9.\r\n
\r\n\r\n
\r\nEnhancements in the release include the addition of dark-frame subtraction and background-correction techniques to improve the preview and snapshot picture quality, particular for microscopy applications; the ability to perform an auto white-balance adjustment against a user-selected \“off-white\“ color; and a time-lapse image capture option.\r\n
\r\n\r\n
\r\nThe new software will be included in all PixeLINK products shipped after 10 June 2002. Users of PixeLINK products will find it to be fully backwards compatible. The software is available on the company’s Web site at www.pixelink.com.“;0;62;4;““;“Source: http://vsd.pennnet.com“;0;““;0;0;0;0;0
